Entertainment- Scenic Carpenter

$16.75 / hour

From Grand Carnivale to The Great Pumpkin Fest, and Halloween Haunt and Winterfest , Kings Dominion is looking for talented individuals with knowledgeable hands-on theatrical techniques and comprehensive skills in Scenic Carpentry and Set Building to join our Production Carpentry Team.

This position requires the following education and experience, or an equivalent combination of both:

 Education: Some College, Theatrical Production, stage craft or carpentry

 Experience: 1 - 2 years related experience. Scenic carpentry, finish carpentry, framing, construction, or rigging

Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of stage/studio flat construction, erecting, leveling, installing, and building framework.
Proficiency with hand and power tools required; including worm drive saws, table saws, compound miter saws, powered drills,
and pneumatic fasteners.
Ability to read and follow blueprints and plans.
Able to use and read a tape measure.

Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV,
previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial
law.
