Worlds of Fun is seeking a Safety Manager to join the Safety and Security Team! This position will be responsible for creating a fun and exciting atmosphere for our guests where they can have aboslute peace of mind. This position will oversee every facet of the safety operation at the park, including but not limited to EMS and Paramedic staff, risk assessment, safety compliance, and culitaving the safety culture within the park.


  • Positively promote a safety culture, engaging all departments in training, monitoring and reporting best practices.
  • Develop and implement standards relating to guest and associate’s safety in compliance with federal, state, and local codes.
  • Responsible for safety audits and safety investigations for all departments and work areas to ensure the safety of guests and associates.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement company and department safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide safety review and recommendations during engineering, construction, or modifications of company projects.
  • Assist Maintenance, Ride Operations, and Aquatics on permit applications and renewals.
  • Prepare and administer annual department operating budget.
  • Adhere to and enforce all Cedar Fair and specific Park policies and procedures, to include safety, attendance, and EEO policies.

  • Required - Bachelor’s Degrees
  • Required - Minimum of 2 years experience working in a Safety role
  • Preferred - Knowledge of OSHA standards, NFPA codes, Amusement Park ASTM standards
  • Preferred – Experience in Emergency Medical Services, First Aid, CPR, AED
  • Preferred – National Incident Management Certifications
  • Preferred – OSHA10 and OSHA30
