Landscape Turf Team Lead

Candidates Must be 18+ years of age. 

Candidates must have open availability with shift start time of 6 am. 

Joining our Canada’s Wonderland team means you’ll help create and maintain a flawless landscaping environment for our guests.

You’ll also…

  • Oversee daily activities of a small crew and ensure tasks are completed in a safe and timely manner.
  • Provide training, guidance and feedback to the Turf team.
  • Maintain turf using various equipment including a Zero Turn mower, walk behind mower, line trimmer and backpack blower.
  • Assist with sodding, seeding, fertilizing, aerating, topdressing and irrigating.
  • Drive a truck and trailer.
  • Assist with site cleanup (street sweeping/scrubbing, litter control, pressure washing, waste handling and pavement wash-down).
  • Maintain vehicles and equipment (cleaning, sanding, painting).
  • Have other opportunities to learn and expand your knowledge.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience operating/maintaining turf equipment in a commercial/municipal/golf course setting.
  • CCHT (Canadian Certified Horticultural Technician) – Landscape Maintenance Designation (an asset).
  • Familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and CPR Basic Rescuer/First Aid (an asset).
  • A valid Ontario Driver’s License (G2/G) with a clean abstract.
  • Individuals who can provide their own CSA approved safety footwear.
  • Availability to work 6:00am to 2:30pm during the spring and fall, 6:00am-3:30pm during full time operating season (Friday shifts are from 6:00am-10:00am) with occasional overtime and weekends.
