Overview:

$17.45 /hour

18+ earns $17.45 / hour, applicants that are 16-17 years of age earn student minimum wage. Candidates must be a minimum age of 16.

Candidates must have a Valid Standard or Emergency First Aid certification and be confident in their skating ability.

Joining our Canada’s Wonderland team means you’ll provide guests with exceptional service when they visit the park.

You’ll also…

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the skating rink while providing exceptional guest service
  • Skate amongst guests and enforce safety procedures in a hospitable manner
  • Assist guests with skate rentals/fitting and cleaning skates 
  • Monitor rink capacity and screen guests
  • Open and closing procedures
  • Assist with skate rentals, cleaning skates and screening guests
  • Ensure rink is free of debris at all times and monitor rink for hazards
  • Assist with other duties as required

Qualifications:
  • You!
  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • Candidates who possess current Standard First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate. Certification to be presented at onboarding
  • Someone able to demonstrate strong skating skills including effectively skating backwards
  • Those able to provide own skates and helmet (helmet must meet CSA standard)
  • Candidate should be energetic, confident, and professional
  • Previous experience as a skating rink guard is an asset
  • Ability to work outdoors for an extended period of time
  • Candidates able to wear protective equipment deemed necessary to perform this job safely (may include; gloves, mask, and or face shield, non-slip shoes etc.)
  • Availability for training on November 9th and 15th
  • Availability that includes Saturday's and Sunday's November 16th-December 21st, Monday-Sunday December 22nd-January 4th with shift end times as late as 11:00pm
  • Please note the park is closed  December 24th-25th
